Winzer vom Weinsberger Tal D-Württemberg
Weinsberger Tal Winegrowers' Cooperative – Home in every glass
Nestled among the rolling hills of the Weinsberger Valley, where vines nestle like green waves on the slopes, lies a world of conviviality. Here, in the wine-growing villages of Löwenstein and Eberstadt, generations of winegrowers have been writing the history of a region that is as much characterised by wine as it is by its warm hospitality. For over a century, the winegrowers' cooperative has been combining the knowledge and passion of many families to create a shared heritage from the fruit of these sun-drenched slopes.
Where nature and refreshment meet
In the middle of this idyllic wine country lies Lake Breitenau – a sparkling jewel surrounded by gentle rows of vines. It is more than just a body of water; it is the cool soul of summer in our region. After a day among the vines, its shores offer the perfect refreshment, a place where the happiness of the moment is intensified by the interplay of water, wine and sun. Here you can feel what it means to live and work in harmony with the landscape.
The heritage of Württemberg: classics with character
Our vineyards are a living archive of Württemberg's wine culture. They are tended by families who have known for generations which vines thrive best on which plots of land. This deep connection is the basis for wines of unadulterated character.
The focus is on the typical Württemberg grape varieties, the soul of our region:
· Trollinger, lively and uncomplicated like a sunny autumn afternoon.
· Lemberger, powerful and spicy with the temperament of the local soils.
· Riesling, with its crystalline freshness and mineral elegance.
· As well as Schwarzriesling and Samtrot, which offer red wine lovers depth and finesse.
And for explorers and connoisseurs, we have some special rarities in store: the beguilingly aromatic Muskat-Trollinger, the fragrant Traminer or the sensual Muskateller – each a little treasure that enriches the wine rack and enchants the palate.
The art of the cellar master: from harvest to lasting impression
In the hands of our cellar master, grapes become a message from the landscape. With a dedication bordering on alchemy, he accompanies each wine on its journey. His philosophy is clear: the fruit should speak for itself.
For fruity, light and fresh wines, he relies on steel tanks, which capture the lively aromas and lively acidity of the grapes as if in a clear mirror. For strong, full-bodied wines, he chooses wooden barrels or barriques – here the wine matures into a complex structure, gains depth and develops those velvety tones that linger on the palate.
Each wine is given its own personal signature, an unmistakable note that is more than just technique. It is a sense for the right moment, a respectful interpretation of the vintage.
A pleasure that lasts
As Johann Wolfgang von Goethe knew: ‘No pleasure is temporary, for the impression it leaves behind is lasting.’ It is precisely these lasting impressions that we want to create. We do not produce trendy drinks, but reliably good quality wines that harmoniously combine taste, homeland and craftsmanship. Wines that go well with food, invite celebration, encourage reflection and remind us of the table in the vineyard, the glistening lake or laughter among friends.
